Finally Garmin introduced the HRM-Pro in September 2020. The HRM-Pro is the ‘top of the line’ and has all the features of the previous heart rate monitors and you van read my full review here. Except that it’s not detachable like the Dual and doesn’t have the grippy strap like the swim. But it does allow stand alone monitoring and
The HRM-Pro™ series accessory calculates your running pace and distance based on your user profile and the motion measured by the sensor on every stride. The heart rate monitor provides running pace and distance when GPS is not available, such as during treadmill running. You can view your running pace and distance on your compatible

Coros won't know what to do with all the other stuff. If you have the strap already, you can use it, but if you're buying the strap specifically to use with a Coros, you can save a lot of money and get something without all the bells and whistles that won't do anything. I have a hard time recommending the Garmin HRM Pro or Pro Plus to those Accessories. Changes from 8.10 to 8.80: New feature: Running pace and Distance. HRM-Pro update. If you don't get the update through the watch on Garmin Express try the Connect app. 4. 6. Sort by: Open comment sort options.
• Do not put the heart rate monitor in a washing machine or dryer. • Rinse the heart rate monitor after every use. • Hand wash the heart rate monitor based on the model and type of activity: Wash the HRM-Tri ™, HRM-Run ™, HRM-Pro ™, or HRM-Pro Plus accessory after every seven uses or one pool swim. Wash the HRM-Swim ™

Thanks Ian! Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who doesn't always get the "external HR connected" message. The reason that I am unsure of the connection between the watch and the HRM Pro is because sometimes the Run Dynamics pages appear (when the HRM is connected), and sometimes they do not appear (I assume that this happens when there is no connection).

Heart Rate While Swimming. NOTICE. The device is intended for surface swimming. Scuba diving with the device may damage the product and will void the warranty. The device has wrist-based heart rate enabled for swim activities. The device is also compatible with the HRM-Pro™, HRM-Swim™, and HRM‍-‍Tri™ accessories. If I buy Garmin HRM dual chest strap, will that pair directly with Garmin Connect? I don't see HRM dual listed in the app as a supported device. Does it always have to come through one of their GPS watches? And then configure Garmin Connect to sync with Strava? My budget is about $100-$150. Hmmmm, maybe you will start from reading manual of the strap. I think it will help you understand how it works and give you some answers. Regarding activity you should use, I would assume „treadmill run” might be best suited to you but to be honest I think you never will get accurate results just due to footbal characteristic. FcHu4.
