2013 Honda CRV, 2.2 iDTEC, manual. 93k.. - New DPF fitted by Honda but still in limp mode. - SLO76 : Definitely has a turbo. I can’t offer any help with the fault but it’s more evidence that buying an older DPF equipped diesel is a false economy, even a Honda. I’d get shot of it.
Honda Civic (2006 – 2011) At A Glance. Practical and comfortable cabin, huge amounts in interior space, great 2.2 i-CTDi diesel engine, well built and reliable, enjoyable to drive. Original 1.4-litre i-DSI engine was disappointing but 1.4 i-VTEC from 2009 is much better, i-CTDi diesel dropped from 2011, rear visibility hampered by window spoiler. The Mazda 2.2 engine is affected by DPF issues - though it's certainly better than the previous 2.0, which many owners feel was simply unfit for purpose. The DPF seems to go into self regenerate mode an awful lot, which injects extra fuel to raise the temp in the filter. It does this even if you're on a fast motorway journey. 2.2 diesel fuel leak. I searched the forum and only saw one other instance of this, but though it worth describing the problem to help any others. The car smelt of diesel after driving and noticed that it left a fuel spill patch on the driveway. I had to remove the large, main under-shield (towards the rear of the car) to identify the leak.

Those least likely to develop DPF problems seem to be Nissan Qashqai 1.6DCI 130, Renault Scenic 1.6DCI 130, Renault Megane 1.6DCI 130. I took it to Honda who advised a regeneration and charged me for it. Since then I have done some commute. And even November I did 120 miles 3 times and
